We are delighted to be collaborating with Unity Hubb, St Margaret’s Community Trust and Christ Church, Ward End on a really exciting project for women aged 50+ from the area.

Story teller and performance poet Amerah Saleh is working with us too, and helping our stitchers to find the words to tell their own stories. Each stitcher is then illustrating their stories in their own tapestry sampler. An exhibition of their work will be on display during Birmingham Heritage Week this September, and then tour to other venues.

It’s not just a project about stitching. This is about recovery, and bringing people together in a safe space, helping them to reconnect socially after the pandemic.

Have a look at these brilliant ‘works in progress’.
