Our Stories in Stitch Northfield

How would you represent your life stories and experiences in stitch? Take part in our relaxing and fun evening craft project to find out!

We are delighted to be running the ‘Our Stories in Stitch’ project for Northfield residents, aged 50+.

What is the project about?

It is about coming together to share time and stories over a cuppa and taking part in creative activity which is great for wellbeing. It may be the start of a new hobby and new friendships too!

  • Join a small friendly group of local women aged 50+ to stitch your own personal sampler.
  • Learn tapestry skills with Tina Francis from Woolly Mammoth Stitch Works CIC.
  • Find the words to tell your own story with story teller Sharon Carr.
  • Exhibit your work at a local venue as part of Birmingham Heritage Week.
  • Keep your framed artworks at the end of the project.
If you sign up to this project we would like you to attend the majority of sessions. Absolute stitch beginners welcome!
